St. Sarah’s is a parish of the Apostolic Johannite Church, an esoteric, Gnostic Christian communion following in the Tradition of St. John the Beloved and St. John the Baptist. We celebrate our spirituality within One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, using the Seven Sacraments in our worship, which are administered by bishops and priests ordained under valid Apostolic Succession. We welcome members from a wide variety of faith traditions, keeping the door open and the lights on for you to find your path through learning, ritual, prayer, meditation, and the unity of catholic and esoteric ceremony. We recognize the Sacred Flame to be present in all Beings and therefore our Sacraments are open to everyone without discrimination on the basis of gender, race, social status or sexual orientation.
Liturgical Services
St. Sarah’s Parish holds Eucharistic Liturgy generally once a month on the fourth Saturday, 7pm, at the Theosophical Society in Arlington, MA. For detailed information and to RSVP for scheduled Liturgies please visit our Meetup.com group. Membership in St. Sarah’s or the AJC is not required to take part in our sacraments, and all of our events are open to the public. If you come to a Liturgy at our church please feel free to participate fully if you are moved to do so.
For information about additional sacramental services provided by St. Sarah’s, including weddings, spiritual counseling, or to make an appointment to meet with our Rector, please email Deacon Anthony Silvia at anthony.silvia@johannite.org
The Study Group
A study group within the Johannite tradition is called a Narthex. Our Narthex is an informal group which discusses books, topics, or events of Gnostic significance. The Narthex generally meets monthly on the second Saturday. For specific times and locations and to RSVP please visit our Meetup.com group.
