Anyone who is interesting in Gnosticism in the Sethian/Valentinian traditions, Hermeticism, occult spirituality, or is a genuine seeker of truth should join us on our journey.

We’re a very friendly group, and although we talk about heavy spiritual things, we still manage to keep things on a common level of understanding.

Details

Our topic for April will be Johannite Gnostic History and Traditions. From where did the Apostolic Johannite Church get its source? Who were the major players? How much is historical fact and how much is legend?
We’ll also include discussion on how Johannite Gnosticism fits (or doesn’t fit) in the spectrum of other modern Gnostic organizations, along with Rosicrucianism, Freemasonry, Theosophy, the Golden Dawn, the O.T.O. and other esoteric orders. Don’t know what all these groups have in common? The answers may surprise you.To get you started, try these:

Don’t worry, no conspiracy theory here. We don’t care if the Illuminati is trying to take over the world’s governments. smile We’re only interested in how these groups can inform our own understanding of Gnosticism as a living tradition.

We’ll end at 12 as usual, but given that we’ll be in a new location we don’t have to rush out right away we can stay and chat if the mood strikes us.
